As part of our work to improve regulation, people and organisations can provide feedback about regulatory issues or opportunities for improvement directly to us through our engagement hub.

You can access our hub here: engagement hub.

Anyone can give us feedback - from the public through to industry bodies and advocacy groups.

We will review and respond to all the feedback we receive, which will help the team better understand where there might be problems with regulation that may need to be fixed.

Feedback helps us decide what regulations to formally review, informs our compliance and education activities, and helps us to promote good regulatory practice across all sectors.

Ultimately better rules and regulations will enable New Zealanders to do more - leading to more productive use of people’s time.

We want to hear from anyone who has a identified a potential issue with regulation that is preventing them from getting things done.

  • What happens next after I’ve submitted my feedback?

Feedback we receive may help us identify regulatory system trends, prioritise future regulatory reviews, recommend updates to guidance, seek legislative change, or we may refer certain issues to other government agencies to consider.

It may take us some time to review issues depending on their complexity, but we will try to respond to submitters to let them know the outcome.
