    The Ministry for Regulation is the central steward of New Zealand’s Regulatory Management System. We work with other regulators across the public sector to improve the quality of regulation so all New Zealanders can flourish.

  9. Our te reo name

    The Ministry for Regulation worked with Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori – The Māori Language Commission to develop a te reo Māori name to sit alongside our English name. The name suggested by Te Taura Whiri is Te Manatū Waeture.

    01 June 2021 This framework provides managers and staff with a basis for learning and development conversations, progression and decision-making. The capabilities outlined in this document reflect the integration of knowledge, attributes, and experience that when used appropriately will drive effective performance. When working through this guide please note the term ‘regulator’ applies to all RS roles, not just the regulator role in RS.
