Raise a red tape issue

Regulatory issues can now be raised directly with us as part of the Government’s drive to cut red tape for New Zealanders who want to get things done.

If you have feedback about a regulatory issue or opportunity for improvement you want us to know about, you can let us know through our engagement hub.

Anyone can raise a regulatory issue – from the public through to industry bodies and advocacy groups.

We will review and respond to all the feedback we receive, which will help the team better understand where there might be problems with regulation that may need to be fixed.

The issues raised through the online portal will help us decide what regulation to formally review, and where to prioritise supporting good regulatory practice across all sectors.

Ultimately better rules and regulations will enable New Zealanders to do more - leading to more productive use of people’s time.
