New resources to help build capability in the regulatory workforce
8 October 2024
As part of our commitment to improving regulatory practice and workforce capability in regulatory organisations and systems, we have published six Quick Guides aimed at those who are new to regulatory work.
The Regulatory Practice Essentials – Quick Guides are part of a larger project to deliver learning materials to government regulators, and the people who work for them.
The six Quick Guides cover:
- Regulation in New Zealand
- Regulatory Compliance Activities
- Regulatory Systems and Stewardship
- Professional Conduct
- Engaging as a Regulator
- Communicating with Regulated Parties
Find out more about the Quick Guides
The development of these Quick Guides has been a collaborative effort – we've worked with more than 50 subject matter experts from regulatory agencies across the public sector.
In November 2024, we’ll be releasing companion micro-modules, which will offer interactive learning opportunities.
