Information release: Cabinet Paper CAB-24-SUB-0437 Approval to consult on a proposed approach to the Regulatory Standards Bill

This proactively released document includes earlier versions of the Regulatory Standards Bill discussion document, interim Regulatory Impact Statement and preliminary Treaty Impact Analysis that differ slightly from the final versions that were released for consultation here. These variations are minor in nature and reflect editing and other changes to ensure the accuracy and clarity of the documents.

Annex 5 to the Cabinet paper summarises agency feedback on a draft of the Cabinet paper that was circulated as part of the usual departmental consultation process. This feedback has been aggregated at a high level and grouped into themes: it should be noted that not every agency listed in these thematic groupings made the specific points outlined in the table in relation to that theme.
